Phoenix-based DJ/producer, Bea Bohannon, began writing and recording music in 2015 with multiple psychedelic rock outfits including Coffee Pot, Fetal Pink, Godstar — and sat as a live member of indie rock darlings Pro Teens in 2019, joining them on their national tour.

In 2021 Ms. Bohannon began to DJ vinyl records specializing in 1980’s Synth Pop, Italo Disco, and Hi-NRG. During this phase of musical exploration she formed a deep passion for dance-oriented electronic music. In 2023 Ms. Bohannon began recording music under the moniker Musique Machine, a nod to influences such as Kraftwerk and Patrick Miller.

The studio recording project seeks out to blend her psychedelic influences with the electronic music she had grown to love. Her influences are honed through her own twisted lens and instinct creating an alluring, yet mysterious ball of sound. Over the course of 2023 and 2024 Ms. Bohannon self published five different singles compiled to tape in early 2025 released through her independent tape label Machine Music.

Ms. Bohannon has returned to her studio to continue a process she would describe as “hit-making” resulting in a new double single “Razor Dance / Fleshtone”. The tracks mark a new high for the project and feature hypnotic rhythms, textural tones, and pure synth-pop bliss.
